So the Twins have been eliminated from the MLB playoffs after being swept by the 'evil empire'. If you are looking for a reason to follow the MLB playoffs, here is one, there is only ONE remaining Minnesotan playing for a team that is still alive in the MLB Divisional round. That player is Tampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Nick Anderson born in Crosby, Minnesota.

Anderson has been on fire since being traded by the Miami Marlins to Tampa Bay. His brilliant pitching has continued into the playoffs as well.

Anderson in the first round of the playoffs against Major League Baseballs best team in the Houston Astros, so far he has a
2.08 ERA over 4.1 innings.

Nick is throwing some heat as well with his fastball averaging, according to MLB stats, 96 MPH.

The Rays beat the Astros last night 4-1, forcing a Game 5 in the ALDS series. That game will be played tonight and the winner will go on to face the New York Yankees.
