Five Big Nine Conference Girls Basketball Teams are State Ranked

There are twelve teams in the Big Nine Conference and five of them are in the Minnesota Basketball News latest rankings.  Four in Class 3A and one in Class 4A.  Four Hiawatha Valley League teams also make the grade in the latest rankings released Friday.

On top are Minneota in Class 1A, Roseau with Stewartville on it's heels in 2A but Friday night #14 Rochester Lourdes defeated the Tigers.  Alexandria tops the 3A rankings and Hopkins is numero uno in 4A.  The Goodhue Wildcats are #6 in 1A up a couple notches from the previous poll.  Grand Meadow is #5.

In Class 2A Lake City is #15, Jordan #16 and Norwood-Young America #17.  In Class 3A Waseca is #2, Mankato West #7, Red Wing #8, Northfield #13, Austin #15.

In Class 4A Eastview is #3, Farmington #6, Lakeville North #10, Apple Valley #13, Rochester John Marshall #17, Burnsville #20.
