La Crosse, WI (KROC AM News) - Keep the water bottle handy if you plan to be outdoors this weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for all of southern Minnesota through Saturday evening.

The NWS says “very warm and oppressively humid conditions are expected over the weekend”  with heat index readings in the 100 - 105 degree range Saturday afternoon.

The warm and humid weather will continue Sunday, along with a chance for storms. The NWS says there will be a threat for heavy rain and gusty winds.
