Kelly Nygaard, Main Street Program Coordinator with Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism says there's fun for the whole family Thursday, December 1, 2021 through Saturday, December 4, 2021 during Winterfest in Faribault.

Thursday, December 2, 2021:

  • Ice Carving 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at corner of 4th Street and Central Ave. (by Heartman Insurance)
  • Window Decorating Contest 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Ballots will be available at the Paradise Center for the Arts and the Faribault Community Center.
  • Horse Drawn Wagon Rides 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Start at the Community Center.
  • Santa arrives at Buckham Library by fire truck 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Reindeer at Buckham Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Martha Brown on the piano at Buckham West 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Games and activities at Faribault Community Center 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Friday, December 3, 2021:

  • Elf at Paradise Center for the Arts 7:30 p.m.
  • Shattuck-St. Mary's Snow Sculpture Team creates a snow sculpture near Burkhartzmeyer Shoes on Central Avenue.
  • Horse drawn wagon rides 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. starting at Paradise Center for the Arts.

Saturday, December 4, 2021:

  • Sleds on Central Vintage Snowmobile Show 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the 400 block of Central Avenue (near Chappuis Jewelers) FREE event, food and drink available for purchase.
  • Holiday Spirits Craft Bazaar at 10,000 Drops from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • 14th Annual Canadian Christmas Open House at Alexander Faribault House 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. FREE
  • Ribbon Cutting at Gather on Central, 206 Central Ave.  Public is invited.
  • Fireworks 5:30 p.m. launched near Crooked Pint and Viaduct.
  • Parade of Lights on Central between 1st Street and 6th Street starts at 5:50 p.m.  Kelly Watts from Central Co-op Oil is Grand Marshal.
  • Street Dance in 400 Block of Central Ave. in front of Chappuis Jewelers. NO COVER.  Enjoy music by Fender Bender, heated tent, food and bar available for purchase.
  • Elf at Paradise Center for the Arts 7:30 p.m.

This is great fun for all generations of people.

All week there is the Central Park Holiday Tree Display also.  Remember this was a COVID drive by event last year and was a huge hit.
