Faribault Lakers Win Again

The Faribault Lakers upped their record to 5-0 with a 4-0 win on the road in Shakopee Friday night.

Tyler Francis and Egan Bonde combined for the shutout on the hill.  Francis allowed 3 hits over 7 innings with 6 strikeouts and no walks.  Bonde threw two innings of hitless relief with 4 strikeouts and no walks.  He struck out the side in the bottom of the ninth.

Lakers pitching has been impressive with a team ERA now 0.837 and an opponent batting average of .151.

In 43 innings pitched Faribault has allowed 23 hits, 4 earned runs with 61 strikeouts and 6 walks.

The Lakers had 10 hits in the game.  Blake Langerud had 4 hits including a double with an RBI.  Mike Johnson and Matt Lane had 2 hits each.  Johnson had a pair of RBI.

Faribault scratched out runs in each of the first three innings and added a run in the 7th.

Alec Pauly started the game pitching for the Coyotes going 4 innings with 5 hits allowed, 3 earned runs, 3 walks, 3 strikeouts.  Tanner Graff tossed 2 innings with 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 strikeout.  Andy Lazzari finished the game allowing 4 hits in the last three innings with 1 earned run, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts.

The Lakers play Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Montgomery.
