The Minnesota Associated Press is out with their latest rankings of high school football teams.

Faribault is in a tie with Orono for the #10 spot in Class 4A.  The Falcons opponent this week Stewartville is rated #9.

Goodhue entered the poll in Class 2A for the first time at #9 where Blooming Prairie is still #1 and perennial power Caledonia is rated #7.

In Class 6A the top spots flipped with Lakeville South #1 and Eden Prairie #2 and the Eagles didn't lose any games.

Rosemount is #4, Shakopee #6 with Lakeville North and Farmington receiving votes.

Class 5A Mankato West is still #1.  Rochester Mayo is tied for #9.

Class 4A Hutchinson (in the same Section with Faribault) is #1.  Kasson-Mantorville is rated #3, Winona #7.  The Tigers of Stewartville #9 and Faribault tied with Orono for #10.  Jordan received votes.

In Class 3A Cannon Falls is still #3, Lake City #4. Waseca #9. Plainview-Elgin-Millville #10.

Maple River and Triton received votes in Class 2A.

There are no immediate area schools ranked in the Top Ten in Class A.  The closest to the Faribault Owatonna area would be Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at #7.  Mayer Lutheran and Randolph did receive votes.

9-Man has Spring Grove #5, Lanesboro #6 with Leroy-Ostrander receiving votes.
