The Faribault girls hockey team bounced back from being shut out for the first time this season by scoring a baker's dozen against Rochester John Marshall in Rochester.  The final score was 13-0.  The Falcons had 38 shots on goal and the Rockets 15.

Senior goalie Mikayla Bohner had her second shutout of the season and second over the last three games.  Faribault fell Thursday 3-0 to Northfield on the road.  On today's Faribault Coaches Show Head Coach Mike Dietsch and players Abby Goodwin and Rylie Starkson talked about learning from that experience and moving forward.

The Falcons were clearly focused at the start with 7 of their goals scored in the first period.  Starkson scored a couple minutes into the game with an assist to Bergen Williamson.  At 3:14 Goodwin scored an unassisted goal.  She would collect 5 in the game and 6 total points.  5:25 Olivia Williamson scored the first of her three goals assisted by Bergen Williamson who had 4 assists in the game.  6:10 Goodwin had another unassisted goal.  7:42 Serenity Knott scored with assists to Goodwin and  Bergen Williamson. 10:29 Starkson was assisted by Isabelle Stephes.  10:52 Ashley Rost was assisted by Olivia Williamson.

In the second period Faribault added 3 more goals.  1:29 into the period Goodwin scored assisted by Olivia Willimson and Grace McCoshen.  5:57 Goodwin was assisted by Emily Wilder.  16:15 Olivia Williamson was assisted by Stephes.

Three more pucks were buried in the third period by the Falcons.  2:12 into the period Rost was assisted by Starkson and Molly Marsden.  At 3:06 Goodwin was assisted by McCoshen and Bergen Williamson.  9:09 Olivia Williamson completed her hat trick with a unassisted goal.

Faribault was whistled for 5 penalties and the Rockets had 5 penalties in the game.

The Falcons had 4 of their penalties in the first period and 1 in the second.  John Marshall suffered the first penalty of the game and was in the box 2 times in each of the next 2 periods.

The scoresheet did not have the times of the penalties included and did not indicate if goals were on the power play or shorthanded.

In the first period the Falcons outshot John Marshall 20-6.  Second period 9-4.  Third period 9-5.

Faribault is 5-1 and goes to Austin Tuesday with a 7:15 drop of the puck.  John Marshall is 1-4-1 and their next game is next Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at home against Austin.
