I had the privilege of being able to attend the Farm Business Breakfast this morning! The event was put on by The Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce Ag-Business Committee and sponsored by Community Co-op. All food was prepared and served by Arna Farmer Catering and Cakes with ingredients provided by farmers and stores from the area.

Even though I grew up in the city and never spent much time on a farm, I have always appreciated farmers and what they do, so I loved that all aspects of this breakfast was produced locally.

The local producers that provided food for this morning includes:

Ableman's Apple Creek Orchard in Faribault

Ben Penne Farm in Belle Plaine

Boudless Roots in Clinton Falls

CannonBelles in Cannon Falls

Graise Farm in Faribault

Hastings Co-op Creamery

Hy-Vee Food Store

Jennie-O Turkey Store in Faribault

Jirik's Family Farm in Kilkenny

Piper's Sugar Bush in Faribault

Prairie Farm Cheese - Caves of Faribault

Ruf Acres Market in Faribault

Singing Hills in Nerstrand

There were also many great speakers, including Lynn Ketelsen, farm broadcaster and owner of the Linder Farm Network, Megan Roberst, Extension Educator in Agricultural Business Management, and Bev Durgan, Dean of University of Minnesota Extension.

If you have never been, I would highly recommend checking it out next year!
