The Faribault Falcons boys hockey team had a long happy bus ride home from LaCrescent tonight after a 3-1 dominating performance.  The Falcons outshot the Lancers 38 to 16 recording double digit shots each period while holding LaCrescent under double digits each period.

Faribault was 1 for 3 on the power play and the Lancers were 0 for 3.  2:48 into the game Leighton Weasler (2) opened the scoring with an unassisted even strength goal.  The first period would end with the Falcons up 1-0.  5:23 into the second period LaCrescent tied the game but it wouldn't stay tied for long.  Faribault scored 1:25 later on a Zack Slinger (8) goal assisted by Jordan Nawrocki (2) and they never looked back.

Slinger (9) added a power play goal 8:47 into the third period assisted by Weasler (5) and Daniel Drevlow (1).

Junior goalie Jake Dolter improved his record to 3-0 with 15 saves in the game.

The Falcons are 4-1-1 (1-1-1 in Big Nine) and Lancers fell to 2-8.  Faribault travels to Mankato West Tuesday.  Their last game before Christmas.
