Photos shared over the weekend of Aegir Brewing Company's co-owners and brothers Tim and Jeremy Jones have taken the internet by storm and provided the holiday spark we all need.

Aegir Brewing Company in Elk River created quite the stir this past weekend when they posted a series of hilariously awkward family/holiday photos to social media. With the taproom currently cleared of its normal indoor dining furniture, co-owners and brothers Tim and Jeremy Jones took advantage of the available space for some fantastically awkward family/holiday photos. Together with local photographer Jeff Rutherford the Joneses decked themselves out in their most festive outfits and posed pretty for the camera. The results are priceless.

"Epic family Christmas photo - Aegir style," read the first photo's caption Saturday morning. "There might be more photos to share... be prepared for more cuteness!" Quickly earning over 450 likes and dozens of comments from fans loving the brothers' holiday spirit, the brewery shared another three photos Saturday evening. It also issued a challenge to three additional Minnesota breweries to create their own awkward or festive holiday photos.

"Tim and Jeremy had so much fun with their awkward family Christmas photoshoot, they think it’s time for other breweries to join in!" read the latest post's caption. They went on to challenge nearby Alloy Brewing Co. (Coon Rapids), Nordic Brewing Co. (Monticello) and Hayes' Public House (Buffalo). "Throw on a festive outfit and and do all the awkward poses! Once you’ve completed the challenge PASS IT ON - let’s share some good cheer!" The second batch of photos racked up several hundred likes and dozens more comments as well.

"These are priceless and classic!!" praised one. "Merry Christmas guys!!"

"This is awesome. We need to make up an Awkward Aegir Christmas song to go along. I know some singers..." suggested another.

"Love these" commented a third. "I hope the other breweries join in on the festive fun."

For their part, Alloy Brewing also left a comment expressing their love of  Jeremy's choice of facial attire: "How can anyone even compete with the beard bow?? These are seriously awesome."

Aegir Brewing Company first opened its doors in downtown Elk River in early 2018. Nearly three years later, they've outgrown their current space and are working on an expansion and move to a new location just north of Elk River. Watch for updates at their Facebook page here.
