The Edina Hornets continued their dominance at the State Girls Swimming and Diving Meet which ended Saturday in Minneapolis.  The Hornets won their 4th consecutive AA title and 17th overall.  Edina had 344 points.  Minnetonka finished second with 305.

Northfield was 16th with 34.5 points.  Five of the top 19 teams in Class AA  were members of the South Suburban Conference.  Eastview was 9th, Eagan 13th, Lakeville North 15th, Rosemount 17th, Farmington 19th and Shakopee 31st.

The only other Big Nine school to accumulate points was Rochester Century with 14 good enough for 27th place.

Northfield diver, junior Zibby Hanifl placed 6th for All-State honors.  The diving champion was senior Megan Phillip from Edina with 493.55 points. Short of the All-Time record she set while winning the event last year (517).

Farmington freshman Jordyn Schmucker earned All-State Honorable Mention with a tenth place finish.

The Northfield 200 Yard Medley Relay achieved All-State Honorable Mention by finishing 10th.  The team included senior Tatum Hauck, sophomore Lindsay Sundby, junior Ellen Varley and sophomore Anna Scheglowski.

The Northfield 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of all seniors, Alice Zhang, Caroline Peterson, Tatum Hauck, Ella Palmquist finished 13th meaning they were All-State performers.

Junior Katie Pattee placed 6th in the 50 Yard Freestyle for All-State status and was 12th in the 100 Yard Freestyle for Honorable Mention All-State.  Pattee was also a member of the All-State 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team that finished 5th.  Other relay members were junior Georgia Olson, freshman Payton Warns and 8th grader Izzy Satterlee.

The Eastview, Farmington and Rochester Century 200 Yard Medley Relay teams were 12, 13th and 14th respectively for All-State Honorable Mention honors.

Farmington sophomore Anna Speratos was All-State Honorable Mention in the 200 Yard Freestyle.  Tigers Freshman Faith Ring finished 15th in the 100 Yard Breastroke for All-State Honorable Mention.
