Letting your dog drive is actually not on the following list, but I have heard you shouldn't have your dog on your lap when you are driving. State law enforcement agencies are watching for distracted drivers during an April campaign.

The Owatonna Police Department (OPD) states in a news release, "The Department of Public Safety launched Drive Smart with information to help drivers focus on driving safely to avoid tragedy for everyone on the road."
