An underwater country music concert for sharks? Well, that could only mean one thing.

Brad Paisley has no fear.

Shark Week, a well-known Discovery channel program, features the No I in Beer singer and comedian JB Smoove in a special called 'Brad Paisley's Shark Country.' A marine scientist Dr. Austin Gallagher also joins the duo (you know someone has to keep these two novices in check).

Together, this group tested Paisley's riffs and rhythms in a shark-infested body of water in the Bahamas to see whether the sharks would 'boo' or 'cheer' his music.

In a press release, JB Smoove said:

“Me and Brad Paisley attempt to see if sharks have a taste for country or comedy… so don’t miss what happens.”

It sounds like it may have turned into a friendly competition...I know I'm curious to see who proved victorious!

Of course, I'm rooting for the Celebrity singer! Though I'm not sure how confident Paisley seems in this preview...

Luckily, unless an assistant is posting on Paisley's Instagram, the country singer has been active on his social media sites, so the sharks must've liked his music enough to tolerate it, or perhaps Paisley is just a really fast swimmer.

Brad Paisley's Shark Country premiered Tuesday, July 13th at 9 pm. You can stream the episode on Discovery+, along with other shark week specials.

Paisley's new song "City of Music" is out now, and if you are interested in hearing it live, you can buy tickets to his show at the Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater this Saturday, July 17th.
