Credit Faribault High School's staff for being prepared as Day 1 of the 'drive-thru' graduation went off great according to a social media post from the school last night. Today (Thursday) is the second and last day scheduled for the drive-thru.

The post from the high school read in part:

"The first day of Drive-Thru Graduation at Faribault High School was a huge success, with nearly 100 students and their families participating.

As Pomp and Circumstance played, students got to walk across the stage, receive their diploma case from Principal Jamie Bente, have a professional photo taken, and pose for additional photos with family. Thirty FHS staff members were on hand to welcome students, cheer them on, and offer congratulations. Faribault Transportation presented each student with a graduation card."

The graduation was also threefold as students also returned books and iPads as well as picked up their yearbooks.

Today marked the final day of the 'drive-thru' graduation. The ceremonies began at 8am for some students as students with last names starting with letters L-Q could visit from 8-11 a.m. and last names starting with the letters R-Z from 12-3 p.m.

The social media post indicated that the "photos from this event will appear in the virtual commencement video."

The ceremonies looked a little something like the post below with the student's name being read followed by cheering and applause.

Congrats to Faribault's class of 2020! You can hear the Falcon graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 7th at 2 p.m. on The Mighty 920 KDHL.
