The Triton Cobras were taken down from the unbeaten ranks in the Hiawatha Valley League tonight following a 3-0 sweep by the Cannon Falls Bombers in Dodge Center.  Scores wre 25-15, 25-11, 25-20.

In the first set, it appeared the Bombers hard-serving resulted in a number of hitting errors by the Cobras.  My unofficial statistics had Triton with 9 errors in the first set, 7 of them hitting errors.  Cannon Falls also had 5 ace serves in the first set.

The errors continued for the Cobras in the second set with an unofficial tally of 8, 7 hitting errors.

Cannon Falls Head Coach Melissa Huseth got everyone into the third set.

6'1 senior Shayla Hustad was very efficient with 11 kills, 4 ace serves according to my unofficial statistics.  5'6 junior Mikayla Bowen had 9 kills, 1 ace serve.  5'7 senior Kylie Wersal smacked 7 kills and had an ace serve.

Triton senior 6'1 Isabel Valdez led her team with 7 kills.  5'8 junior outside hitter Brenna Essig had 5 kills, senior Kendra Petersohn managed 4 kills, 2 ace serves.

Cannon Falls is 2-1 in the Hiawatha Valley League, 6-4 overall, 15-11 in sets.

Triton falls to 2-1 in the league, 6-3 overall, 18-9 in sets.
