It was the league opener for both teams.  Cannon Falls was supposed to play Dundas Wednesday, July 1 but the game was postponed due to health concerns.  One of the players the Bears faced in a game last week was being tested for COVID-19 and Meyers tweeted, "We feel it is prudent to err on the side of caution."

In another CCVL contest the Dundas Dukes defeated the Northfield Knights 8-5 at Sechler Park in Northfield.

Jon Bishop hit a 2 run bomb in the first inning.  Derek Albers tossed 5 innings of relief for the Dukes victory.
