Byron May Soon Be Searching For New School Superintendent
Austin, MN (KROC AM News) - Byron may be losing its top education official.
The Austin School Board Thursday voted to select Dr. Joey Page as the district’s new superintendent.
Page has been Superintendent of Byron Public Schools since July 1, 2017.
The Austin school board will now enter into contract negotiations with Page. The board says if the talks are successful, a contract is expected to be approved at its Monday meeting and Page would begin his new job July 1.
“The consensus was that Dr. Page has the qualifications and skills to move the school district forward. We feel he will come into the position with an open mind, ready to listen, and committed to finding the best direction for the district, and we look forward to working with him,” said Kathy Green, Board Chair.
