Byron Man Awaiting Trial for Deadly Wreck Now Facing Drug Charges
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Byron man was arrested Friday after a search of his home turned up evidence of drug dealing.
The search was executed at the home of 21-year-old Jordan Wilde.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says officers found 60 grams of marijuana wax, 20 doses of marijuana oil and 27 grams of marijuana. Officers also seized $2300 in cash.
Wilde was charged last year with criminal vehicular homicide connected to a fatal traffic wreck on New Year’s Eve 2016 near the Somerby golf course.
The criminal complaint says a car driven by Wilde crossed the centerline and collided head-on with another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle, 60-year-old Daniel Pyfferoen of rural Byron, was killed. A blood test confirmed traces of marijuana and the prescription drug Xanax in Wilde’s system.
He is scheduled to enter a plea in the case June 1st.
