October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and one local auto repair business is doing its part to raise money to go towards finding a cure. Elysian Auto Service is participating in the 'Brakes for Breasts' nationwide event that benefits the Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund.

How do free brake pads sound? For customers who come in to participate in the 'Brakes for Breasts' event, they will get free brake pads and just have to pay for labor and any other parts while 10% of the bill will go towards the Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund according to the Brakes for Breasts website. 

Elysian Auto Service is just one of three shops in all of Minnesota participating in the Brakes for Breasts event, the other two auto repair shops are Love's Garage in
Saint Bonifacius and Superior Automotive Solutions in Mankato.

Elysian Auto Service's website states that they are "a family-owned business that has proudly served the local community for more than 36 years." Elysian Auto Service serves the communities of "Elysian, Waterville, Janesville, Madison Lake, Waseca, and Cleveland, Minnesota."

So far since 2011 over $940,000 has been raised through local auto repair shops nationwide that has benefitted Brakes for Breasts.

The Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund works in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic towards finding a cure for breast cancer.
