Both Faribault High School Soccer Teams Tie with New Ulm
The Faribault Falcon girls soccer and boys soccer games ended in 2-2 overtime ties Tuesday night. The ladies played at Bahl Field and the guys headed to New Ulm.
In the girls game, head coach Maddie Justin told KDHL she was proud of how her team "dug deep" to find the energy necessary a night after playing an overtime tie game in Mankato. Senior Darian Sammon scored both Falcon goals in the girls contest and sophomore Olivia Williamson was in net.
The Faribault girls are now 1-0-2 after opening the season with a 3-0 win over Cannon Falls.
The Falcons have their conference opener at Rochester Mayo at 8PM Thursday and Justin says the artificial surface is good for her speedy team.
