Cardinals sophomore pitcher Kaitlyn Trump allowed three hits, struck out 8 en route to a 8-2 win over United South Central at Alexander Park in Faribault Thursday.

Trump also led the way at the plate with a single, two doubles, two RBI and 3 stolen bases.

Bethlehem Academy finished the game with 9 hits while improving their record to 2-1 and 1-1 in Gopher Conference play.

Second baseman 8th grader Anna Cohen had two singles, an RBI and a stolen base. Catcher sophomore Reagan Kangas collected an RBI single.

Designated Player 8th grader Morgan Wilson stroked a 2 RBI siingle.  Juniors Lindsay Hanson and Josie Rose each had hits and scored.

Bethlehem Academy took a 3-0 lead in the third inning.  United South Central plated two runs with one out in the fourth inning.

The Cardinals added 4 runs in the fourth and another run in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Cohen led off the 6th with a single and scored on Trump's second double of the day.

Senior Malia Hunt made some very good plays at shortstop for Bethlehem Academy.

The Cardinals travel to Blooming Prairie Monday in Gopher Conference action.  The Awesome Blossoms suffered their first loss of the season Thursday 17-1 to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown.
