
New Year, New Minnesota Basketball Rankings
The Minnesota State High School Coaches Association released today it's latest rankings for girls and boys basketball.
The top all stayed the same among the girls teams in each of the four classes.
Class 1A, Mountain Iron-Buhl , Class 2A, Providence Academy, Class 3A, Benilde-St. Margaret's, and Class 4A, Minnetonka.
Three Big Nine teams are included: Rochester Mayo, #6 in Class 4A, Northfield, #7 in Class 3A, and Red Wing, #10 in Class 2A.
The Hiawatha Valley League has three representatives among the state's elite. Rochester Lourdes, #5 in Class 2A, Stewartville. #5, and Byron, #9 in Class 3A.
There are two teams from the Gopher Conference. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva. #7, and Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy, #9 in Class 1A.
South Suburban Conference has four teams in the rankings. Rosemount, #3, Eastview, #7, Lakeville South , and Lakeville North in Others receiving votes.

MSHSCA boys basketball rankings have new teams at the top of Class 1A and Class 3A.
Henning is #1 in Class 1A supplanting Cherry which was bumped to #2.
Richfield takes the top spot in Class 3A with previous #1 Totino-Grace at #2.
Northfield and Mankato East represent the Big Nine Conference in Class 3A.
The H-V-L has Goodhue, Zumbrota-Mazeppa, and Cannon Falls listed.
Gopher Conference with Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton. South Suburban teams Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville South, Apple Valley, and Rosemount are included in Class 4A,
