The MSHSL State Girls and Boys Golf Tournaments tee off Tuesday at three different locations.  Class A is being played at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker.  Class AA is at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan.  Class AAA competes at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids.

The tournament takes place Tuesday and Wednesday.  Faribault Bethlehem Academy senior Ashley Rost tees off in the girls tournament 8:24 Tuesday morning.  She is the only senior in her foursome.

Other qualifiers from Section 1A include three senior golfers from Blooming Prairie.  Halle Strunk, Jessica Ressler and Maggie Bruns.  Also out of the Gopher Conference 7th grade student Carly Bronson of Hayfield made it to the big show.

Team representative for Section 1A is Fillmore Central, Harmony.  A very young team with no seniors.  They have one junior, two sophmores, a freshman and two 8th graders.

Section 2A team representative Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton will be joining the Gopher Conference next season.  The Bulldogs have 4 seniors, a junior and 8th grader.

Freshman Brayden Larson from Bethlehem Academy also qualified to participate at the state meet this week  Larson will tee off 1:03 in the afternoon with his foursome comprised entirely of young golfers. Another freshman, a sophmore and 8th grader.

Kenyon-Wanamingo senior Tanner Angelstad will tee off 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and is paired in a group of fellow seniors.  It's the last group to tee off.  Also qualifying for participation is Hayfield junior Keegan Bronson.  In Section 2A freshmen Kadyn Neubauer of United South Central and Logan Thell of Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton will be among the competitors.

Team representative of Section 1A boys is Lanesboro.  The Burros have two seniors, two juniors, a sophmore and a freshman.

Section 1AA Champion Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa 7th grader Jag Foster tees off Noon on the Number 10 tee of Ridges of Sand Creek in Jordan.  12:09 p.m. 8th grader Collin Fogarty is on the tee box.  12:18 p.m. sophmore Joseph Scripture, 12:27 p.m. senior Jacob Smith, 12:36 sophmore Michael Scripture and 12:45 p.m. junior Anderson Larson hits the links.

Senior Griffin Seifert of Waseca qualified from Section 2AA. He starts on the first tee at 1:03 p.m.  Blue Earth Area is the Section 2AA team representative.

Section 1A girls Champion is Lake City.  They hit from the first tee.  8th grader Mattie Mears tees off at 7:30 a.m.  At 7:39 it's sophmore Brooke Bee.  7:48 freshman Ella Matzke.  7:57 sophmore Emma Berge.  8:06 senior Molley Kennedy.  8:15 freshman Jordana Windhorst Knudesen.

Starting on Number 10 tee at 8:51 a.m. us senior Elizabeth Fagerlind of Kasson-Mantorville.  Jenna Wiebke, senior from Caledonia is in her foursome.

Girls Class AAA Section 1 representative Lakeville North begin their day on the West Course of Bunker Hills with senior Skye Vetter going with the first group at 7:30 a.m.  7:39 a.m. senior Dani Duffey hits the tee box, 7:48 senior Brooke Bennett.  7:57 Senior Ashley King.  8:06 senior Julia Sabetti.  8:15 senior Emma Welch.

Fellow South Suburban members Eastview of Apple Valley are also on the West Course.

In boys Class AAA Section 1 Champion Farmington starts their day at Noon on the East course with junior Will Bassett teeing off.  At 12:09 p.m. senior Matt Bell.  At 12:18 p.m. 8th grader Cale Thompson.  12:27 it's senior Hogan Reuter.  12:36 sophmore Zach Rouleau. 12:45 sophmore Kyler Schwamb.

Other area Class AAA boys starting on the East Course include:

2019 girls State Champions were: Class A, BOLD, Class AA, Red Wing, Class AAA Chanhasen.

2019 boys State Champions were: Class A Community Christian of Willmar, Class AA, Holy Family Catholic, Class AAA ,Edina.

Junior Nate Stevens of Northfield enters the State Tournament the top ranked boys high school golfer in Minnesota.  Blaine sophmore Kathryn VanArragon is top invididually ranked girl.
