I’ve lived in Faribault my entire life but my wife and I enjoy traveling all around Minnesota as well as the surrounding states. When I’m not at work I’m usually spending time with my grandchildren and my grown children. I enjoy going to watch the Vikings, especially at US Bank Stadium, concerts, taking my wife to various musicals and going out to eat… I really enjoy that, as my bathroom scale can attest. I love music and spend a lot of time on the weekends looking for CDs of big hair bands that I don’t currently have in my collection.

A Vintage Broadcasting Wonderland in Minnesota
Ever since I was a young teenager I have been interested in radio broadcasting. My brother and sister and local neighborhood friends would spend hours playing and recording radio shows. We used the cassette recorder that I had received as a present one Christmas to record the shows and my Mom's old turntable and records for music...

Did you know that today, March 14, is Pi Day? No, not Pie Day, you missed that already because we celebrated that day on January 23. This is the day celebrated by mathematicians and anyone just looking for a reason to celebrate that mathematical constant π (pi) or 3...
Make Some Money By Cleaning Out Your Garage
It's getting to be that time of the year again where you do a little spring cleaning. I know my big project for this spring is getting my garage cleared out. I have a lot of stuff packed in there that I thought I needed but really don't. What should I do with all this stuff...

Visit the Minnesota Zoo For Free
Last year I posted a story about free admission to the Minnesota Zoo through their Free to Explore Zoo Admission Program, or ZAP. Through this new program, the zoo was visited by 65,700 people that were limited incomes in 2016 in comparison to the attendance of about 40,000 people through the program that had been in place in 2015...
Fly Through the Trees with the Greatest of Ease
You've seen the pictures and videos of people having a great time riding zip lines. It looks like a lot of fun but you don't want to drive 2-3 hours to find one that's really exciting. You're in luck because I stumbled across Kerfoot Canopy Tour and it's less than an hour away, just north of Henderson, Minn...

On this very day in 1904, Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield, Mass. This child would grow up to be a writer, cartoonist, animator, publisher and the author best known as Dr. Seuss. Over the course of his life, he published more than 60 children's books as well as a few books for adults...
