Arbor Day with KDHL

Friday is Arbor Day! Why not plant a few trees in your yard? Plus, I know where you can pick up some FREE Trees on Arbor Day! The Rice County Forestry Committee has a tree planter that they rent out to people that are planting a lot of trees. They have more funds then are needed to repair and maintain the tree planter so, they use some of those funds to purchase trees to give away on Arbor Day. Tree species available this year include White Spruce, Wild Plum, Chokecherry, Gray Dogwood and Crabapple. You can pick up your free trees this Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at a number of locations in Rice County. The Rice County Master Gardeners will be there is offer advice on how to plant and care for your trees.

Lonsdale - Lonsdale Feed Mill

Northfield - Carleton College
