Grab some peanuts and some friends because the circus is coming to town!

This Sunday, August 8th, the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus will set up camp next to the New Richland Care Center for two 90-minute shows. The first show is at 2 pm, with the second following at 4:30.

Under the old-fashioned Big Top, you can expect to see big cats, unicyclists, birds, aerialists, horses, and daredevils! No seat is further than 40 feet away from the ring, so you don't have to worry about missing any of the action.

I've always been fascinated by aerialists. It takes a lot of skill (and strength!) to preform these difficult moves.

This dynamic crew performs two shows, seven days a week, across 17 different states for 32 weeks out of the year. To say they are highly trained is an understatement.

Throughout this week, the circus will make stops in St. Francis, Wabasha, Dennison, Hayfield, and Mapleton.
