This is national FFA Week and my guest on today's AM Minnesota program will be Amanda Sommers. Amanda is the Program Coordinator for the Minnesota FFA Foundation. Amanda grew up on a farm in southeastern Minnesota and received her degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Minnesota and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota Duluth. For 12 years Amanda worked as the Blue Earth County 4-H program coordinator.

Today is Give FFA Day and I am quite certain Amanda will explain what that is all about along with another Minnesota FFA Foundation program Blue Jackets Bright Future. The mission of the Minnesota FFA Foundation is "to secure strategic partnerships and financial resources that promote and enhance premier leadership, personal growth and career success for Minnesota youth in agricultural education."

The vision of the Minnesota FFA Foundation "is to engage partners to ensure agricultural education is available in every Minnesota school enabling students to have access to life-changing programs.
