AM Minnesota Today May Beef Month

May is Beef Month and that will be the topic on today's AM Minnesota Program. My guest will be Becky Church who is the Communications Director for the Minnesota Beef Council. May was chosen and designated as Beef Month a long time ago because May is the beginning of the traditional grilling season. It is a time to celebrate the Beef Industry along with realizing the Beef Industry's contribution to our economy too.

Some of the topics Becky and I will discuss include social media and advertising tactics she is working on, resources for grilling, cooking, and recipes that would be helpful, especially when more consumers are cooking at home, some concerns about the disruption in the supply chain and how that affected the price of beef. We will also talk about grilling and food safety recommendations and the nutritional benefits of real beef compared to meat alternatives. I hope you can tune in at 9:30 this morning!
