In Class A Faribault Bethlehem Academy moved up a notch due to a close game with Class 2A top rated Randolph last week. Fellow Gopher Conference member United South Central is still atop the smallest schools in the state.
In Class A . Faribault Bethlehem Academy dropped out of the top ten without losing a game while fellow Gopher Conference team United South Central jumped into a tie for the top ranking.
Randolph, Bethlehem Academy, United South Central, Mankato East, Mankato West, Byron, Stewartville, Lyle/Pacelli, Southland, Rosemount, Farmington, Lakeville North, Lakeville South, Prior Lake, are all rated.
Randolph remains undefeated while not allowing a run in three Section 1AA games. Kenyon-Wanamingo and Hayfield saw their seasons end Tuesday, May 28, 2024. United South Central and Blooming Prairie are in their section finals.
Also still alive are Owatonna, Randolph, Blooming Prairie, United South Central, New Prague in winner's bracket and Kenyon-Wanamingo, Hayfield, Lakeville North, Farmington, Zumbrota-Mazeppa, Tri-City United, NRHEG, Maple River in elimination bracket play.
Randolph remains #1 in Class AA. In Class A Gopher Conference teams United South Central moved up to #2, Blooming Prairie stayed at #4. Three Big Nine Conference teams are among the Class AAA state elite. Three South Suburban Conference teams are atop the Class AAAA rankings.
