Grab your snow shovels, folks! A winter storm is on the horizon, ready to blanket Minnesota in white.

A major winter storm sweeping through the Central Plains this weekend is expected to bring heavy snow to parts of the Midwest, with up to a foot of snow possible in Illinois, according to the National Weather Service.

With our first snowstorm of the season here, it doesn't take Minnesota's biggest airport too long to get those runways clear again. Here's how they do it.
