How Much Money Did People Spend On Shamrock Shakes in the Midwest?
Way back in January, I got the inside scoop when the Shamrock Shake would be available in 2025. Once again, for every Shamrock Shake sold, $0.25 would benefit the children and families at Ronald McDonald Houses in the Midwest, people just like my sister.
About 30 years ago, my little sister was in the fight of her life. At 10 years old, she was diagnosed with leukemia and the hospital that she went to for treatment was about two hours from our home. The Ronald McDonald House in Des Moines, Iowa is just a few steps from Blank Children's Hospital and was a home away from home for my mom and sister a few times.
If you missed it, not only was I handing out some gift cards on Y-105FM for Shamrock Shakes, but I was talking about how you could help families just like mine by buying a Shamrock Shake at McDonald's.

According to the McDonald's of Minnesota, North Dakota & Western Wisconsin Facebook page, over $1 million has been donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities in the area since 2014.
