Wisconsin and Iowa are preparing for a snowstorm to dump more of the white stuff all over the place Wednesday night and Thursday. The National Weather Service says some areas could see up to 9 inches of snow which means some areas are under a Winter Storm Watchand a Winter Weather Advisory.

Rain Before The Snow

The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities says that a system will be bringing snow to Eastern Iowa, Northwestern Illinois, and Wisconsin starting Wednesday night through Thursdsay. The Quad Cities will get a lot of rain first with some areas seeing 2 inches of rainfall.

Depending on the system's path, we could see more snow, ice, or rain dropped on the Quad Cities metro. Most of the snow is expected to fall in a line from Galena, IL to Washginton, IA.

The National Weather Service of La Crosse  is saying that some towns and counties along that line will see more than 6 inches of snow, with mostly Wisconsin towns getting up to 9 inches of snow.
