
Winona Police Investigating Elderly Man’s Death
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) - Police in Winona say there is nothing to indicate foul play was involved, but the Police Department is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an elderly man this morning.
A news release indicates the emergency responders were dispatched after receiving a report that a man was found lying on the ground and not breathing. The person was located along Gilmore Avenue near the Winona Cotter High School athletic field complex just before 7:15 AM.

Winona police say emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures on the 86-year-old man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene about a half an hour later. His name is being withheld pending the notification of family members.
