Rochester Man Enters Guilty Plea in Case Involving Sexual Relationship With Teen Girl

She was found in Stewartville with 20-year-old Jordan Michael Simar-Hall shortly after deputies responded to the missing person report.

The criminal complaint says the 15-year-old told law enforcement she met Simar-Hall on Snapchat last Spring and that the two had sex on July 9 at a park in Chatfield

An extraction of Simar-Hall’s phone revealed messages that discussed their relationship and sex. Simar-Hall and the teen girl also sent sexually explicit images of themselves to each other, the charges say.

The complaint says Simar-Hall also admitted to having sex with the teenager and knowing she was 14-15 years old at the time.

If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, resources are available for help. Visit the RAINN website (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network) or dial 800-656-HOPE (800-656-4673).

Simar-Hall was charged in August with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and a count of engaging in electronic communication relating to or describing sexual conduct with a child.

Court records indicate the plea agreement calls for him to admit to the criminal sexual conduct charge in exchange for the dismissal of the engaging in electronic communication relating to or describing sexual conduct with a child count.

He’s scheduled to be sentenced in July.
