Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Fire Department responded to a fire this afternoon at an apartment complex in southeast Rochester.

A preliminary report on the incident indicates firefighters arrived at the Creekside Apartments along Marion Road and found two exterior decks on fire. They were able to quickly extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from extending inside the affected apartment units. The damage was confined to the decks and the exterior siding on the apartment building.

One person was assessed at the scene for possible smoke inhalation but was not transported to the hospital for treatment.

The fire Department has yet to list a cause for the fire.
