Two Triple Shootings Claim Three Lives at Minneapolis Homeless Encampments Over the Weekend
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police in Minneapolis are investigating two triple shootings that claimed three lives at two homeless encampments.

A pair of Minneapolis Police Department news releases say officers responded to the first deadly shooting around 4:30 Saturday morning.
The second incident of fatal gunfire was reported shortly before 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
One Killed, 2 Wounded in Saturday Shooting at Minneapolis Homeless Encampment
Saturday’s deadly shooting occurred in the area of 21 St. East and 15 Ave. South. Responding officers found three men suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene.
All three were taken to a hospital where one man died from his wounds. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim of Saturday’s fatal shooting as 31-year-old Deven Leonard Caston.
Police say the three shooting suspects possibly fled from the scene on foot.
Two Killed, One Wounded in Minneapolis Homeless Encampment Triple Shooting
Sunday’s fatal gunfire was reported at a homeless encampment located along the railroad tracks on the 4400 block between Hiawatha Ave. and Snelling Ave.
Upon arrival, officers found two men and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The men died at the scene despite life-saving efforts, police say.
Their names have not yet been released. Investigators suspect the three suspects fled the deadly shooting scene on foot.
Three men were detained and released after being questioned, authorities say.
Police have not ruled out the possibility of the deadly shootings being related. As of Monday morning no arrests have been announced.
