
Minnesota State Patrol Identifies Victim of Fatal Hwy. 14 Motorcycle Crash

Springfield, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the two people involved in a fatal motorcycle crash on Hwy. 14.

It happened around 4:00 Saturday afternoon in southern Minnesota’s Brown County. An SUV was also involved in the deadly collision.

Motorcyclist Killed on Hwy. 14 in Southern Minnesota Identified as North Mankato Man
The state crash report, updated on Sunday evening, identified the motorcyclist who was killed in the crash as 52-year-old Jeffrey John Bentdahl.
The State Patrol says the North Mankato man died at a hospital in Sleepy Eye.
Bentdahl was driving the motorcycle east on Highway 14 when it collided with the SUV at an intersection in the town of Springfield, which is located about 25 miles west of New Ulm. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the state crash report.
Authorities also identified the driver of the SUV, which was traveling south through the highway’s intersection with Range Rd. at the time of the collision, as 63-year-old Leann Marie Jensen.
The Springfield, MN woman was not hurt. The updated crash report says it’s not known whether or not alcohol was involved in the deadly incident.
