
Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Reports Seizing Pounds of Meth from Rochester Home

(UPDATE) - 24-year-old Montrell Devon Nicholson was formally charged today in Olmsted County court with one count each of first-degree drug sale and possession. He also faces a gross misdemeanor count of illegal possession of a firearm by a user of controlled substance.
According to the criminal complaint against the Rochester mam, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Monday at multiple locations in connection with an ongoing controlled substance investigation. At the southeast Rochester residence occupied by Nicholson and his grandparents, 8.3 pounds of methamphetamine were allegedly discovered in a purple tote in the basement of the home.
The charges say the search also led to the discovery of a Glock 19 handgun with a loaded extended magazine, multiple empty firearm magazines, and ammunition in the bedroom occupied by Nicholson.
His bail was set at $250,000, although conditional bail was set at zero during his arraignment. Nicholson is due back in court in December.

The massive drug seizure follows a raid in Rochester last week that led to the discovery of seven pounds of methamphetamine.

Authorities executed the warrant at a home in the 200 block of 9 ½ St SE.
During the search investigators found eight pounds of methamphetamine and evidence of drug sale activity, Parkin said. There was also a handgun found near the massive amount of meth, according to the sheriff’s office.
Law enforcement arrested 29-year-old Montrell Nicholson of Rochester as a result of the raid.
Parkin says Nicholson could face charges of first-degree drug sales, first-degree drug possession and possession of a firearm by a drug user. Nicholson’s first court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
