Undated (KROC-AM News)- Slick travel conditions have caused crashes that prompted closures on a pair of Minnesota interstates Monday morning.

One of the freeway closures is in southeast Minnesota and the other is in the Twin Cities

Preliminary reports indicate the crash in the Twin Cities was fatal.

Update: Closed Portion of I-90 in Winona County, MN Has Reopened

In Winona County, both lanes of an 11-mile stretch of westbound Interstate 90 from Nodine to the Hwy. 76 interchange were closed due to a crash, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). 

A detour was in place to route motorists around the crash. Information regarding the crash is not yet available.

The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. MnDOT announced the closure ended shortly after 9:10 Monday morning 

Crash Investigation Causes Lane Closure on I-494 in Eden Prairie, MN

In Eden Prairie, the two left lanes on Interstate 494 are closed due to a crash. Preliminary reports indicate the crash was a fatality that involved an SUV and semi truck. 

No other information is available as of 9:00 Monday morning. 

The State Patrol says there were 83 property damage crashes statewide between Midnight and 8 a.m. Monday. 

A spokesperson said one of the crashes were fatal and 21 involved an injury. Troopers also 21 vehicles off the road, five spinouts and a jackknifed semi Monday morning, the State Patrol says.
