Body of Missing Minnesota Boy Found in Southwest Minnesota River, Authorities Investigating Possible Drowning
Marshall, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are investigating the possible drowning of a four-year-old Minnesota child.

The incident began with the report of a missing child in the southwestern Minnesota community of Marshall.
A news release issued by the Marshall Police Department says officers responded to the report of the missing boy around 4:45 Wednesday afternoon.
Police officers, deputies from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Marshall Police Department and Lyon County Emergency Management then launched a search effort following a brief investigation.
4-Year-Old Boy Pulled from River in Marshall, MN
First responders found the child unresponsive in the Redwood River on the northern edge of Marshall around 5:20 p.m.
Emergency personnel pulled the four-year-old boy from the water and began performing life-saving measures at the scene. The life-saving efforts continued in an ambulance on the way to a hospital.
The child was later pronounced dead at the hospital, the news release says.
Police do not suspect foul play was involved in the young boy’s death. The boy’s name is not being released at this time.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the child’s cause and manner of death, the news release says.
