
Man & Woman Injured in Christmas Day Deer Collision on Southeast MN Highway
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Christmas Day crash with a deer on a southeastern Minnesota highway sent two people to the hospital.

One vehicle was involved in the collision. The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly after 9:30 p.m.

Albert Lea Man & Austin Woman Injured after Hitting Deer on Hwy. 218 in Mower County
A sedan traveling south on Hwy. 218 just north of Austin hit the animal. The vehicle then entered the ditch, according to the state crash report.
47-year-old Frank Lucellersonundraco Tubbs of Albert Lea was identified as the driver. The State Patrol identified his passenger as 48-year-old Janny Kaye Moton of Austin.
Tubbs and Moton were both brought to an Austin hospital. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening, the State Patrol says.
Both occupants were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report indicates.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Austin Police Department, Austin Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the crash.
