Harris, MN (KROC-AM News) - A welfare check Sunday morning led to the discovery of three shooting victims inside an east-central Minnesota home.

The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says deputies were dispatched to a home in a rural area near the town of Harris around 8 AM Sunday at the request of a family member who had not been able to reach the occupants of a residence. When the deputies arrived, they found three people dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Investigators from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension were called to the scene to assist the Chisago County Sheriff's Office. A news release says, based on what investigators have found, they believe it was not a random incident.

The bodies of the victims have been sent to the Midwest Medical Examiners' Office to determine the cause and manner of death. The names of the deceased have not been released.
