State Fair Kickoff to Summer – Menu Revealed with Gluten Free Options
Summer in Minnesota. There are some staples that Minnesotans look forward to every year. This weekend is the Fishing Opener Saturday and Mother's Day on Sunday.
There is also the unofficial kick off to a Minnesota Summer and that is an event that has been going on for a few years. That is the Minnesota State Fair's Kickoff to Summer event which happens over Memorial Day weekend.
Fair food is just a part of summer in Minnesota. People do love fair food. We all know it isn't great for you, but it is something that we do tend to indulge in at least once or twice during the summer with all the county fairs as well as the Great Minnesota Get-Together. If you have some allergy issues, or need to be gluten free, that can be somewhat of a challenge.
The vendors at the state fair have some great options if you do need to go gluten free. You do need to check with the vendor if their items are gluten free or gluten friendly. The difference being gluten free if you have an allergy, and gluten friendly if it's just a sensitivity.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE VENDORS THAT WILL BE AT THE KICKOFF EVENT?
