TRAILS NOT SCALES

"Lets claim our place and take up space." A message to anyone  who feels uncomfortable because they live in a 'bigger body.' The slogan 'Trails...Not Scales!" belongs to a website called fatgirlshiking.com.

FAT GIRLS HIKING

Fat Girls Hiking is all about celebrating the body that you live in; right now. Whether you are trying to lose weight or not; everyone in this group is inviting you to join them in the great outdoors, and to feel comfortable in a safe space in the outdoor world with likeminded people who are on the same journey as you and accepts people for who they are; no matter the size.

MEET LINDSAY

Lindsay from Minneapolis explains that she is an ambassador for Minnesota, sharing her passion for connecting with nature and bringing people together. Lindsay goes on to say, "All are welcome! Let's claim our place and take up space, coming together to enjoy all the beauty that nature has to offer. I can't wait to meet wonderful new friends. See you on the trail!"

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Whether you are a woman or man, a slow or fast hiker, skinny or fat; everyone is welcome. There's no shame in being slower than others; the great outdoors is for everyone to take these hikes at their own pace. Fatgirlhiking.com honors your body on a group hike, and you won't hold anyone back. It's not a race, and it's not to climb to the tallest peak to reach a record. The hiking is to connect with each other and nature and to be around others that will encourage you to believe in yourself and get outdoors.
