
Minnesota Authorities Need Help Now Identifying Suspect In Recent Assault
We often see social media posts from various law enforcement agencies throughout Minnesota, and for good reason.
While it can also provide false leads, sharing suspect photos on social media can be a useful tool for law enforcement to identify suspects, and there have been many cases where the public has provided key evidence or information after seeing posts from law enforcement.
That is what the University of Minnesota Police Department hopes happens with a post they made on social media on October 28, 2025, regarding a recent crime.

University of Minnesota Police Department Needs The Public's Help
According to a Facebook post from the University of Minnesota Department of Public Safety, the University of Minnesota Police Department needs the public's assistance in identifying an individual involved in an assault.
The assault occurred on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at approximately 9:50 pm. The location of the crime was 4th St SE & 16th Ave SE, in Minneapolis.
Authorities say surveillance footage captured the suspect striking the victim multiple times & then fleeing the scene.
