Minnesota State Fair Nominated For Major Award
A big congratulations are in order for the Minnesota State Fair! The venue was just nominated for a prestigious award.
If you are a Minnesotan, going to the fair every year is basically expected of you. It's known nationwide and for good reason.
It's so famous, in fact, that a television star went on a late night show to talk about it - or brag about it, rather!
Minnesota native Peter Krause is from our neck of the woods and talked to Jimmy Kimmel about what we have to offer, including the fair of course, which just so happened to be his first job before becoming an actor.

While the Minnesota State Fair has his backing, they also were nominated for a major country music award on Thursday (March 27th). This award is one of the highest honors in country music so it is a big deal.

The Academy Of Country Music has nominated the fair! The Minnesota State Fair is up for Fair / Rodeo of the Year - and is up against some pretty stiff competition.
We will have to wait until May 8th when the ACM Awards air to see if the fair takes home the prize but to be nominated among all the other fairs and rodeos is a win in itself. This is the 60th anniversary of the award show so winning would be extra special.
