We now know the identity of the two deceased individuals discovered on Isle Royale, located in Lake Superior. The remote wilderness incident is being considered a murder-suicide, and the deceased are a father and son.

Father + Son Identified

Fox 9 reports that 30-year-old Bradley Baird and his father, 60-year-old John Baird, were found dead on June 9th at the South Lake Desor Campground. It took park rangers more than 11 hours in an overnight hike to reach the remote area. Fox 9 found that John Baird was the president of a division of Ameritrust insurance, and Bradley Baird's occupation was as a writer. Both were from Salem Township, Michigan.

Reports Of Screaming Heard Overnight By Other Hikers

Speculation and rumors began on Reddit right away, and some people say they were on the island camping when the crime took place. One Reddit user commented that they were in the area and they heard a latrine door repeatedly slamming along with a male screaming relentlessly. According to the Reddit user, the man was threatening self-harm and harm to others. The nearby campers left the area and got to a high point to call 911.

The Reddit user said they were in campsite 7 at the Lake Desor campground when they heard the screaming. 3 other sites were occupied that night, according to the witness. Other hikers discovered the dead bodies on June 8th and notified authorities.
