The Wisconsin storm season is here, and we've already had our share of severe weather. Some areas of Wisconsin historically have more recorded tornadoes than other counties. Where in Wisconsin do twisters strike more often?
Fortunately, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) keeps records of severe weather. We can sort through their database and rank counties by the number of tornadoes they've experienced since 2000.

Tornadoes cause millions of dollars in damage nationwide every year. Remember to be vigilant when tornado watches are issued. A tornado watch means the conditions are correct for a tornado to form. A tornado warning means there's a tornado happening right now.
Stacker shared data from NOAA, and I've dug through it and ranked the tornadoes by the number recorded by each county from 2000 to 2023.
