I arrived in Faribault in June 1987.

My first experience at the Faribault Lions Pancake and Sausage Feast was in January 1988.

The big game can be a clunker. In fact, many of them, unfortunately four of the games that had the Minnesota Vikings involved, were clunkers.

But the other tradition on that day, the Faribault Lions pancake event, has never been a clunker.

For many years I attended as a member of the Faribault community. For the past few years I have worked at the event as a member of the Lions.

Serving at the Faribault Eagles is from 7:30AM until 1:15PM on Sunday, February 7.

That oddball finish time is because the championship game kickoff used to be at 1:30PM.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger and can be purchased at the door, but if you get them in advance it does save you a little time purchasing them on site.

I hope to see a lot of people at the Eagles on Sunday. The past few years I've been a pancake flipper and have received a number of comments about how delicious the pancakes are.
