While driving down Central Avenue in Faribault on my way to work this morning, there was no missing the large red hearts on several buildings. This is called heart bombing!

The Faribault Main Street program is showing how much it loves its historic buildings by placing hearts of a few as a sign of affection. The Main Street Economic Restructuring Committee, led by Heidi Nelson, along with youth groups from Our Savior's Lutheran Church created and distributed the hearts just in time for Valentine's Day! Downtown Faribault is filled with beautiful buildings with unique details and histories. Several have been renovated and house fun shops, theaters and dining establishments.

I love downtown Faribault, and was excited to see the hearts this morning. I was able to snap a couple photos to share with you of the heart bombing!
